Or are you a “Marketing Hype” buyer? There are 2 kinds of “hype marketing”, positive & negative. Positive marketing hype is usually accompanied by a celebrity endorsement they were paid handsomely for.
And there is the negative “fear tactic” type marketing, that some utilize to promote their own product or an endorsed product for a contributing sponsor. Although attention grabbing, do not be duped. Follow through with conscientious due diligence. Make you own informed choice.
If a particular ingredient sparks an interest, do not simply “search” it out. You will get flooded with 1000 pros & cons and usually come away more confused. And accept the fact that proofs and theories change with further studies.
This is a new site, one that has stirred up my thinking on the subject and is some really good reading if you are inclined to find out what you are consuming via your skincare:

And also know that the simplest of ingredients can sound scary using the INCI (International Nomenclature for Cosmetic Ingredients) labeling.
For Example:
Plain English = Moisturizing Skin Sealant Ingredients: Grape seed, Soya & Macadamia oils. Pure Lavender, Bergamot & Patchouli Essential oils.
INCI = Moisturizing Skin Sealant Ingredients: Vitis Vinifera, Glycine Soja, Macadamia Ternifolia, Lavandula Angustifolia, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia, Pogostemon Cablin.
At Gaia Essentials we analyze every ingredient before using it in a product. Our philosophy is simpler is better and if we would not eat it, we do not use it topically. All of our bases are made with certified food grade oils and alkali’s. Just because it is hard to pronounce the INCI name does not mean it is bad for you to consume, after all water is dihydrogen monoxide.
